Manufactured in 1986, the Smith and Wesson Model 544 Texas Wagon Train revolver commemorates the Texas Sesquicentennial (1836-1986). A scarce, post 1940 S&W double action model cambered in .44-40 with one year production limiting total number to just 4782 revolvers. These 6-shot revolvers are built on the three-screw N square butt target frame and have a 5-inch barrel, S&W bright blue finish, adjustable rear sight, and smooth Goncalo Alves commemorative target grips with S&W medallions. Commemorative markings include the outline of the state of Texas surrounding the Texas Wagon Train logo stamped on the right sideplate and ‘1836 Texas 1986’ marked on the barrel, right side. Standard S&W trademark on the frame, left side and ‘Smith and Wesson’ over ’44/40’ stamped on the left side of the barrel.

This Smith and Wesson Model 544 Texas Wagon Train Commemorative has been fired and carries some minor handling marks as a result. Overall, condition is excellent and the bore is like new. The original box and paperwork are included. No presentation box. This is a great revolver to add to your S&W collection and to keep using at the range! See pictures for overall condition. FFL required for purchase.
