Manufactured in 1997, this Model 1894CB Limited lever action rifle has the early checkered forearm and stock wrist made from high-quality walnut. The grain on the buttstock has an iridescence that insinuates a three-dimensional quality and provides both depth of view and movement within the wood; it is a gorgeous piece of wood. Marlin switched to plain wood in 1998. The octagon barrel is 24-inches in length, the receiver is tapped for scope mounts, Marble semi-buckhorn rear sight, blade front sight, hammer block safety, and butt plate marked Marlin. Chambered for .45 Colt with 10+1 round capacity, the action is smooth and crisp. 95% overall condition with only slight handling marks and wear on the wood and blued metal. The bore is clean, bright and has well-defined Ballard rifling. A fine Marlin arm, this rifle is incredibly easy to handle; it is not surprising these rifles are so popular. See pictures for overall condition. FFL required for purchase.
