For Sale: Browning Model 65 Lever Action Rifle w/box

Browning Model 65 Grade I Limited Edition as new in the box. The Grade I Limited Editions were based on the Winchester Model 65 and manufactured in Japan for only one year, 1989, with a total production of just 3500 rifles. All are in .218 BEE making these lever actions effective varmint rifles. This Model 65 appears to never have been fired as it still retains the factory protective coating. Because of its original condition we have elected not to clean the arm. The dust you see in the pictures is from the box and packaging and smudging is related to the original, now stiffened, protective coating.

Features include an overall blue metal finish, hooded front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, 24-inch round barrel, and metal butt plate. The stock is a plain walnut pistol grip type with a fantastic, curved pattern to the grain. Matching walnut beaver tail forearm. The magazine is a half-length button tubular magazine with 7-shot capacity. The barrel, left side, is marked ‘BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q./MADE IN JAPAN’ forward of ‘BROWNING MODEL 65 CALIBER 218 BEE’ that is located just in front of the receiver. ‘BROWNING MODEL 65 CALIBER 218 BEE’ is also marked on the right side of the barrel under the rear sight dovetail cut. The Nitro Proof mark ‘NP’ is found on top of the barrel and receiver where they join, and the serial number is stamped on the receiver bottom forward of the lever.

Overall condition is like new with no handling marks on the wood or metal. Bore is like new. Comes with the original matching box that is in excellent structural condition with some storage wear. The sticker on the box end shows matching SN as well as model and caliber information. Styrofoam insert is in excellent shape. Also comes with the original plastic rifle wrap and manual. This Browning Model 65 rifle is ideal for any Browning collection!
