A very nice example of an American Civil War staple arm. No rust/pitting on outside metal surfaces, markings clear; lock plate shows some wear. Wood in good shape but shows some wear. At some point, the front sight ground short and the immediate area on the barrel has machining marks or grooves on either side of the sight. This is a great starter for a shooter musket. Sold with bayonet. See pictures for overall condition. Must be 18 years of age to purchase.
