For Sale: Remington Model 700 Classic Limited Edition, 350 REM MAG

The Remington Model 700 Classic Limited-Edition rifle is part of the highly popular and widely varied Model 700 family offered by the Remington Arms Company. Sales of the Model 700 Classic commenced in 1978. From 1981 until 2005, Remington began offering the Classic Limited (LTD) Edition, a line of rifles that focused on a limited number of rifles produced in a specific caliber each year. The Remington Model 700 Classic Limited-Edition seen here is one of only 5756 rifles manufactured in 1985, the year of .350 Remington Magnum.

Features of the Model 700 Classic Limited-Edition comprise a high polished blued metal finished, internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, straight-comb stock of American walnut with a satin finish and cut checkering, rubber butt pad, and jeweled bolt. The front sight is a blade atop a ramp base (with hood) and the adjustable rear sight is square notched. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped (with screws inserted) for mounting scope.

Markings include the serial number on the left front side of the receiver with ‘REMINGTON/MODEL 700’ on the same side next to the chamber. The barrel is stamped on the left side, near the front sling ring mount, with the typical Remington ‘WARNING-READ INSTRUCTION BOOK FOR SAFE OPERATION-FREE FROM/*****REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC., ILION, N.Y., U.S.A.*****’ warning message. To the rear of the warning is the ‘350 REM. MAG’ caliber marking. On the left side of the barrel, near the receiver, are a ‘+’ sign factory mark followed by the ‘KF’ date code, followed by the assembly number ‘22’. The Remington ‘REP’ proof is stamped near the receiver on the right side of the barrel along with the heart-shaped and letter ‘K’ within a triangle inspection stamps. ‘REMINGTON’ within a rectangle is seen on the butt pad.

This Remington Model 700 Classic Limited-Edition rifle is in excellent, like new condition with limited, if any, firing. The stock bears no handling marks and shows a beautiful walnut grain throughout. The checking is sharp and unworn. Metal surfaces remain in pristine condition. The bore is like new.
