For Sale: Remington Model 700 ADL Rifle, .30-06 SPRG

Remington Model 700 ADL rifle manufactured in 1977 and chambered in .30-06 SPRG. Features a checkered Monte Carlo walnut stock, 22-inch barrel, jeweled bolt, four-shot internal magazine, quick release sling swivels, Allen Pump-Up sling, and Leupold 3×9 scope.

Remington’s ‘WARNING – READ INSTURCTION BOOK FOR SAFE OPERATION – FREE FROM/*****REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC. ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.*****’ is marked on the left side of the barrel in front of ’30-06 SPRG.’. A proof mark followed by a small ‘PG’ and large ‘D’ is seen on the barrel, left side, just in front of the receiver. The serial number and ‘REMINGTON/MODEL 700’ are both stamped on the left side of the receiver. Just in front of the receiver, on the right side of the barrel are proof marks and ‘REM’ within an oval. ‘S’ and ‘F’ are marked on the back, right side of the receiver indicating safe and fire safety positions. ‘LEUPOLD’ is stamped on the front scope mount base, right side. The scope is marked ‘LEUPOLD’ on the right side, under the top adjustment knob, and ‘3×9 VARI-X II’ around the front ring. The rear ring is marked ‘PATENTS -4, 408, 842-4,395,096 MADE IN U.S.A.’ with the numbers 3 through 9 marked on the variable magnification band.

Used for many years by the previous owner as a primary hunting rifle, this Remington Model 700 ADL rifle remains in very good condition. Minor handling marks are found throughout the stock consisting of mostly dings in the wood. The metal surfaces retain the original blued finish with some minor scratches on the bolt handle knob and scope ends. The bore is in great condition and is clean, bright, and has excellent rifling. The bolt works smoothly and the trigger is crisp and the scope has a clear, unclouded view with crosshairs. This is a great rifle that needs to return to the field and range.
