The Springfield Armory Omega is a 1911-A1 style, semi-auto pistol that was manufactured in Geneseo, IL between 1987 and 1990 by Springfield Armory (now Springfield Armory Inc.). Features of these single-action, semi-auto pistols include a ported slide, Polygon rifling, a unique lockup system that eliminates the barrel link and bushing, dual extractors, and 9-round magazine.
The example here is chambered for 10mm Auto, has a 6-inch, ported factory barrel; adjustable notched rear sight; and black rubber ‘Supreme’ wrap-around grips. Markings include an omega symbol in front of ‘OMEGA’ on the left side of the slide and ‘SPRINGFIELD ARMORY’ on the right. The right side of the frame is marked ‘SPRINGFIELD ARMORY/GENESEO IL USA’/the serial number. The barrel chamber is marked ‘10mm Auto’.
The overall condition of this Springfield Armory Omega pistol is excellent, with only a few minor handling marks. The bore is excellent, clean and bright with well-defined rifling, and the action is strong and functions properly. Comes with the original box that is very good condition as well as the cleaning rod and brush as shown.
See pictures for overall condition. FFL required for purchase.
