For Sale: Smith and Wesson Sigma Model SW40F Series Pistol, w/Case

The Smith and Wesson Sigma Model SW40F Series is a full-size, striker-fired semi-auto pistol chambered in .40 S&W that was manufactured between 1994 and 1998. Features of this double-action pistol include a polymer frame, fixed 3-dot sights, 4 ½-inch barrel, blued finish, and 15-round magazine.

Assembled on July 1, 1994, markings on this Smith and Wesson Sigma Model SW40F Series pistol include ‘SMITH AND WESSON/SPRINGFIELD, MA USA’ on the left side of the slide forward of ‘Model SW40F’. On the right side of the frame the ‘CAUTION: Capable of firing with/magazine removed’ warning message is stamped forward of the chamber. ’40 S&W’ is stamped on the top of the chamber and the serial number with bar code is found on the bottom of the frame, under the barrel. The Smith and Wesson logo is located on both grip portions of the polymer frame.

Comes with two factory Smith and Wesson SW40F 40 S&W 15-round magazines with stainless-steel finish, plastic base, and orange follower. Right side is marked with the ‘S&W’ logo along with six witness holes numbered ‘5’, ‘7’, ‘9’, ‘11’, ‘13’, and ‘15’. Left side has five witness holes marked ‘6’, ‘8’, ‘10’, ‘12’, and ‘14’ plus a ‘CAUTION FIREARM CAPAPBLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED’ warning. ’40 S&W’ is marked on the front and ‘Smith & Wesson’ over the S&W logo is marked on the base. The follower is marked ‘.40’.

The Smith and Wesson Sigma Model SW40F Series pistol is in excellent, lightly used condition with only a few minor handling marks. The action is tight and functions as intended. The bore is clean and bright with excellent rifling.

Purchase of the Smith and Wesson Sigma Model SW40F pistol includes the original blue plastic case and safety, instruction, and parts manual. The case is in good condition with some dirt accumulation from storage. Markings include the S&W logo on the top, ‘NEVER PUT A LOADED GUN/IN THIS CASE’ warning on the inside bottom, and sticker label with model information on the outside, the left end.
