For Sale: Sig Sauer M17 and M18 Pistols, Matched Employee Commemorative Pair

These Sig Sauer M17 and M18 pistols were part of Sig Sauer’s employee purchase program and match the pistols sold to the U.S. military. Estimates state that only 900 of each model were made for the employee only program and are differentiated from the approximately 5000 commemoratives offered for public sale by the ‘E’ within the serial number and ‘EMP’ model suffix on the box label. Employee program pistols featured the same 9mm chambering and characteristics as the military versions which includes striker-fired design, coyote-tan PVD coated stainless steel slide with the MHS (Modular Handgun System) contract optic cut, coyote-tan controls, manual safety, SIGLITE night front sight and removable night sight rear plate, and military unique identifier (UID).

Both Sig Sauer M17 and M18 pistols for sale here are a serial numbered matching pair in as new, never fired, condition with original factory protective oil coating still present. Each pistol comes with the original cardboard pistol boxes, owner’s manuals, hang tags, Sig Sauer stickers, Certificate of Authenticity, SN matched commemorative coins, collector’s wood display case, orange plastic empty chamber indicator (ECI), one 17-round steel magazine, and two 21-round steel magazines.

The Sig Sauer M17-EMP, manufactured December 22, 2018, is a full-size 9mm pistol with a 4.7-inch barrel and 7 7/8-inch overall length. Markings include ‘SIG SAUER M17’ and ‘MFR:6ZWB1 PN: 13067008’ on the slide, left side. The UID, SN, and ‘NEWINGTON, NH, USA’ are found on the right side of the frame. ‘9mm x 19/6ZWB1’ is stamped on the right side of the chamber. The standard coyote carry medium grip module is marked ‘SIG SAUER’ on both right and left sides. The 17-round magazine carries the Sig Sauer logo on the bottom and ‘SIG SAUER/9mm’ stamped in the steel on the left side. The right side of the magazine has three witness holes marked ‘5’, ‘10’, and ‘17’ along with ‘MADE IN ITALY’. The two 21-round magazines are marked the same except they have a fourth witness hole marked ‘21’. In as new condition, this Sig Sauer M17 pistol has never been fired. Please note that the display case for this pistol is not in its original box. This pistol also has a white carboard envelope, presumably containing the Certificate of Authenticity and commemorative coin, that remains sealed from the factory. A sticker with the M17 SN is on the outside of this envelope.

The Sig Sauer M18-EMP, manufactured November 16, 2021, is a compact-size 9mm pistol with a 3.9-inch barrel and 6 ¾-inch overall length. Markings include ‘SIG SAUER M18’ and ‘MFR:6ZWB1 PN: 13067088’ on the slide, left side. The UID, SN, and ‘NEWINGTON, NH, USA’ are found on the right side of the frame. ‘9mm x 19/6ZWB1’ is stamped on the right side of the chamber.
