For Sale: Colt Woodsman Target Model Pistol w/box

Colt Woodsman Target Model pistol, second series, in .22 L.R. Manufactured in 1953 with two-tone blued/parkerized finish, checkered “Coltwood” plastic target grips, concealed lanyard loop, 6-inch barrel, serrated trigger, 10-round magazine, button magazine release, and adjustable Accro rear sight.

The left side of the barrel is marked ‘COLT’S MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.’ On the slide, left side, is stamped ‘COLT’ forward of ‘AUTOMATIC/CAL. .22 LONG RIFLE’. The right side of the frame under the rampant colt logo is ‘WOODSMAN’. The serial number is marked above the trigger on the right side of the frame. The left upper corner of the trigger guard is marked with an ‘R’ and the lower rear corner has the ‘VP’ within a triangle. The number ‘6’ is stamped on the right side, rear corner of the trigger guard. ‘COLT/CAL. 22 L.R.’ is stamped on the magazine base and the right grip bears the rampant colt logo.

This Colt Woodsman Target Model pistol is in very good overall condition with some holster wear along the barrel, muzzle, trigger guard, and backstrap. The target grips show no wear. Outside of the holster wear the only handling marks are a light scratch on the right side of the frame above the last SN digits, some light scuffing along the top of the frame, and very sparse areas of freckling on the frame around the grips. Comes with the original box that is in good shape, the cover is detached from the base but is otherwise structurally sound with a good interior and moderate outside wear. The bore is like new. Overall, this is a very attractive Woodsman Target Model for collecting or taking to the range.
