Admired by soldier, lawman, and outlaw alike, the Colt Single-Action Army (SAA) revolver gained fame during western expansion and wild west days of U.S. history. Well-loved, this fully functional commercial Colt SAA is chambered in .45 Colt and has a 5½-inch barrel. Manufactured in 1901.
While minor amounts of blued finish remains on isolated low points, overall, metal surfaces are frosted and browned with age. The numbers and letters of factory marks have, with some exceptions, become smoothed and shallow. The hard plastic grips have also smoothed due to handling over the years. The bore is fair with some frosted areas and defined, slightly rounded rifling. This Colt Single-Action Army is ideal for living history, range plinking, or Cowboy Action Shooting demonstrations. See pictures for overall condition. FFL or C&R required for purchase.
