Colt MK IV Series 70 Gold Cup National Match pistol in .45 ACP. Manufactured in 1982 with 5-inch barrel, blued finish, and checkered walnut grips with gold rampant colt medallions. Features specific to the Series 70 Gold Cup National Match pistol include adjustable target trigger; Colt blue finished accurizer barrel; blade front sight with adjustable Colt Elliason rear, square notch, sight; and target hammer.
The left side of the slide is marked “COLT’S MK IV/SERIES 70’ over ’GOLD CUP NATIONAL MATCH’ over ’.45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER’ in front of a rampant colt logo. The right side is marked ‘GOLD CUP’ over ’NATIONAL MATCH’ behind a trophy cup logo. Right side of the frame is marked ‘COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN U.S.A.’ above the grip and with the serial number above the trigger. The barrel is marked ‘COLT .45 AUTO. N.M.’ over ’MK IV/SERIES 70’ above the chamber. Manufacturing and proof marks are found on both sides of the trigger guard, and the magazine is stamped with a rampant colt logo, ‘COLT’ over ‘45 AUTO’ and the letter ‘M’ on the back left corner.
This Colt MK IV Series 70 Gold Cup National Match pistol has been shot and remains in good condition with excellent finish and very minor handling marks on the grips and front grip strap. Bore is bright with excellent rifling. Comes with original box that is in structurally sound condition with some storage wear. The sticker is clearly marked with model, barrel, finish, and serial number information. Includes original paperwork and allen wrench as seen in the pictures.
