Winchester Model 54 High Power Sporter rifle in .30-06 GOV’T. Manufactured in 1928 with Schnabel walnut stock. The rear site is a Lyman WJS peep, nonstandard front blade sight, the receiver is drilled and tapped with scope mount installed, and the stock is a walnut Schnabel pistol grip with checkering. Bolt action functions as intended. A few handling marks are present and some finish wear present on the bolt. The barrel finish is worn along the ‘Winchester -Nickle Steel-‘ stamp from someone cleaning a rust spot. The bore is clean, bright and has good rifling. Quick release sling swivels. As a hunting or target rifle, this Winchester Model 54 High Power Sporter is an excellent choice.
