A beautiful Browning BAR MK II Safari with BOSS (ballistic optimizing shooting system) in .308 Winchester. In like new condition – never fired!
Browning introduced the BAR MK II Safari in 1993 to mark the 25th anniversary of the BAR. Improving upon previous sporting BARs (introduced in 1967), the BAR Mark II Safari featured an upgraded action, gas operating system, and reduced recoil. The Safari was available in different versions including the firearm featured here with ported BOSS (available starting in 1994). The BOSS is a ballistic optimizing shooting system designed to reduce both recoil and barrel movement and increase accuracy. Additional features include a polished blued finish, scroll engraved receiver, gloss walnut stock and forearm with checkering, gold plated trigger, and mule deer’s head with gold inlay on the bottom of the trigger guard.
Manufactured in Belgium and assembled in Portugal (1996). The 4-round magazines were made in Italy. .308 Win caliber was discontinued in 1999. This stunning rifle comes with manuals, choke tool, and extra magazine. See pictures for overall condition. FFL required for purchase.
