Early post war Brno Model 22, also referred to as Model 22F (for full stock), Mauser 98 style bolt action carbine with Mannilicher style full stock. This Czech firearm is chambered in 7X57mm, has a round receiver dove-tailed for a scope mount, “butterknife” bolt handle, jeweled bolt and floorplate, a Griffin and Howe scope side rail mounted to the left side of the receiver (plus the scope), and walnut stock with cheek piece and checkering around semi-pistol grip and forearm. Custom features include an antler forend cap and oak leaf pattern around the toe and heel of the butt. Double set trigger removed. No stamp marks other than a low SN (13XX) on left side of barrel, Czech lion on left front edge of the receiver, Brno trademark on front top of receiver, and a number 1 on the underside of the barrel. This a beautiful Brno Model 22 and is in excellent condition, all metal is in 99% blued condition with the wood showing only some light handling marks. The bore and rifling are fantastic. This is a beautiful piece and nice to have around the shop! Scope is a Busch Rathenow “Visar” 4 ½X and is in excellent condition with crystal clear view. See pictures for overall condition.
