Long considered a very accurate arm, this top break action, single-shot Thompson Center Arms Contender pistol is popular for target shooting. Production began in 1967 and ended in 2000 with many, many variations and calibers. This example has SN 214XX which indicates manufacture in 1972. Chambered in .22 L.R., this pistol has a fully engraved, flat receiver; 10-inch octagon barrel; checkered walnut target grips and forearm; a Bushnell Magnum Phantom 2.5x scope; and leather holster. The barrel is easily swapped out for other Contender barrels in various calibers. This Thompson Center Arms Contender is in excellent condition with very few handling marks, no rust, and an excellent bore. The scope is complete with clear view and end caps. The holster is marked ‘Thompson Center Arms’ in three lines over ‘S 1’. See pictures for overall condition. FFL required for purchase.
